A simple daily cash register for kirana shops — in Hindi too
Most kirana and general stores in India still run on a paper galla book. This free daily cash register does the same job on your phone, and it now works fully in Hindi or English. Record every cash in and cash out, mark each as Cash or UPI / online, and instantly see your sales, expenses, net and the exact cash that should be in your drawer. It is not a full POS — just a fast, honest daily tally any shopkeeper can use.
Cash vs UPI — accurate drawer balance
These days half the sales come through UPI, but that money never reaches the cash drawer. This register lets you tag each entry as Cash or UPI, so Cash in hand = Opening + cash in − cash out counts only physical notes, while UPI received is shown separately. No more confusion at closing time.
Hindi voice and WhatsApp
Turn on the Hindi voice and the app speaks every amount aloud — like a payment soundbox — so you hear each entry as you add it. At day's end, tap WhatsApp to send the full daily summary to your family or accountant in one tap, or use Print and CSV for permanent records.
How net cash is calculated
Net = Total cash in − Total cash out
Cash in hand = Opening cash (galla) + cash net
Your data stays on your phone
Entries are saved in your own browser on the device, so your register is there when you return — but nothing is ever uploaded to a server. Clearing browser data erases it, so keep a WhatsApp, Print or CSV copy of important days. Around 9 in 10 kirana stores still operate offline; this tool needs no app, no sign-up and no monthly fee.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work in Hindi?
Yes. Tap the language button to switch the whole tool between Hindi and English. It can also speak each amount aloud in Hindi like a soundbox (your phone needs a Hindi voice installed).
Does it separate cash and UPI?
Yes. Mark each entry Cash or UPI. Cash in hand counts only physical cash; UPI received is shown separately so your drawer balance stays correct.
Where is my data saved?
In your browser on this device (localStorage). It is private and never uploaded. Use WhatsApp, Print or CSV to keep a permanent copy.
Can I check older days?
Yes. Use the date picker or tap a day in "Recent days" to load that day's register.
