Frequently Asked Questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
Never. This viewer uses Mozilla PDF.js — a JavaScript library that runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF is read from your device into browser memory and rendered locally. No data is sent to any server at any point. See our Zero Data Storage Policy.
How do I search for text in a PDF?
Open your PDF, then click the Search button in the toolbar (or press Ctrl+F on keyboard). Type your search term — all matching text is highlighted. Use the arrow buttons to jump between results. Note: text search only works in text-based PDFs. Scanned image PDFs may not have searchable text without OCR processing.
Can I print a PDF from the viewer?
Yes. Click the Print button in the toolbar. This opens your browser's native print dialog where you can print any or all pages of the PDF, choose orientation, and select a printer or save as PDF again.
Does this work on mobile phones?
Yes. The viewer works on iOS Safari, Android Chrome, and other modern mobile browsers. On mobile, use the page navigation buttons and pinch-to-zoom. Large PDFs may take a moment to render depending on your device speed. The thumbnail sidebar hides on small screens to give maximum reading space.
Why won't my PDF open?
This usually happens if the PDF is password-protected (user password required to open). PDFs with owner restrictions (edit-only protection) generally open fine. Try removing the password first using a password-removal tool, then open the PDF here. Corrupted PDF files may also fail to open.
Is this tool completely free?
Yes — 100% free, no account required, no file size limits, no daily limits, no watermarks. Open as many PDFs as you need.
