Frequently Asked Questions
Is the SVG output a true vector or a raster image inside SVG?
The SVG contains a high-resolution raster image (PNG) embedded inside a valid SVG wrapper. This means the file opens in all SVG-compatible tools, embeds in web pages, and scales within the SVG viewport — but the content itself is a rendered image, not pure vector paths. For fully vectorised SVG output (with actual path data for text and shapes), server-side tools using Inkscape or other engines are required. For visual fidelity and web use, the embedded-image SVG approach produces excellent results with no quality loss at the chosen scale.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
Never. This tool uses PDF.js — Mozilla's open-source PDF rendering engine — to render each page as a canvas element in your browser. The canvas is then converted to a PNG data URL and embedded into an SVG file, all locally. Your PDF never leaves your device. See our Zero Data Storage Policy.
Which scale should I choose?
Use 2× (recommended) for most uses — web design, Figma import, documentation sites, and standard printing. Use 3× if you need maximum sharpness for large-format printing or archival purposes. Use 1× for quick previews or when file size is a priority. Higher scale produces sharper output but larger SVG files since more image data is embedded.
Can I open the SVG in Figma, Illustrator or Inkscape?
