Honest refers to a facet of moral character and connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as Honest integrity, truthfulness, straightforwardness, including straightforwardness of conduct, along with the absence of lying, cheating, theft, etc. Honest also involves being trustworthy, loyal, fair, and sincere.
A POUND OF BUTTER
There was a farmer who sold a pound of
butter to the baker. One day the baker
decided to weigh the butter to see if he was

to court. The judge asked the farmer if he
