What is eDPI?
eDPI stands for Effective Dots Per Inch. It is a numerical value used to compare the actual sensitivity of different players, regardless of their hardware. Since every mouse has a different DPI and every game has a different sensitivity setting, eDPI is the only way to accurately measure how fast your cursor moves.
How to Calculate eDPI?
The formula is very simple: DPI × In-Game Sensitivity = eDPI. For example, if you use 800 DPI and 0.5 sensitivity in Valorant, your eDPI is 400.
Benefits of Knowing Your eDPI:
- Compare your settings with Pro Players (S1mple, TenZ, etc.).
- Ensure consistency when switching to a new mouse.
- Find the "Sweet Spot" for better muscle memory.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Not necessarily. Most pro players prefer a lower eDPI (200-400) for better precision and headshot accuracy.
